A Message from Charlie Frew, Jerusalem House Executive Director
|
Even though Jerusalem House has doubled in size since July 1, 2009, the need for permanent supportive housing for homeless and low-income individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS is greater than ever.
Pressure on government funding for programs continues to mount. We will continue to identify ways to expand the size and scope of services we provide. This may include additional facilities-based programs, master-lease programs expansion and strategic partnerships with care providers in Atlanta and throughout Georgia. It also will include expanding our advocacy work at the local, state and national levels to remind legislators and leaders that housing is a critical component in HIV/AIDS healthcare. It also means seeking expanded investments from the private sector.
Jerusalem House will continue to be a leader in this field, not only in developing programs that can serve as models for other communities, but also by helping shape the discussion of HIV/AIDS healthcare as it continues to evolve.
Charlie Frew
Executive Director
