How to Apply

Jerusalem House is an AIDS service organization, providing housing only for persons with an HIV or AIDS diagnosis. Additionally, you must be low-income or homeless to enroll in our programs.

We do not accept clients or applications directly, so please contact Hope Atlanta with housing vacancy questions. To apply for Jerusalem House, contact Hope Atlanta at (404) 574-1693 to start a supportive housing application and get on a waiting list. Please follow up with Hope Atlanta if you have questions about your application.

For information on the New Horizons rental subsidy program, call (678) 846-5505 or email TBRA@jerusalemhouse.org. Please note that our rental subsidy is not emergency assistance, and anyone obtaining the subsidy must be enrolled in our New Horizons program.

We do not accept applications at any Jerusalem House location.

Jerusalem House Residency Requirements

Program for Adults
Serves single adults

AIDS diagnosis
homeless according to government guidelines
applicant must be age 18 or older
ability to care for yourself at time of admission

Family Program Requirements
Serves homeless families where the adults are living with HIV/AIDS and their dependent children under age 18.

HIV/AIDS diagnosis
homeless according to government guidelines
applicant must be age 18 or older
ability to care for yourself and your children (if applicable) at time of admission

Scattered Site I Program Requirements
Serves individuals and/or families where at least one of the adult parents (caretakers) has HIV/AIDS

HIV/AIDS diagnosis
homeless according to government guidelines
applicant must be age 18 or older
ability to care for yourself and your children, if applicable, at time of admission

Scattered Site II Program Requirements
Serves individuals and/or families where at least one family member has HIV/AIDS

HIV/AIDS diagnosis
homeless or low-income according to government guidelines
applicant must be age 18 or older
ability to care for yourself and your children, if applicable, at time of admission

New Horizons Program Requirements
Serves individuals with HIV/AIDS who can live independently and obtain a lease and utilities in their name. Persons who receive a subsidy must be enrolled in the New Horizons program.

HIV/AIDS diagnosis
low-income according to government guidelines
able to attain a lease and utilities in the primary participant’s name
able to live independently
able to secure a position on one or more of the following: Wait list for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, public housing, other rental assistance program, or qualify for home ownership program.
